For a little beginning of the week motivation - Meet Ernestine Shepherd!
Ernestine began working out at age 56! Why? Because Ernestine and her sister went bathing suit shopping, tried on a few bikinis that they liked and burst out laughing at each other. Then and there, they decided to make a pact to do something about feeling better about their own bodies and self-esteem.
Now, at 78 years old and a very happy grandmother, she is named the oldest competing body builder. She won FIRST PLACE in bodybuilding contests, outshining and out posing competitors that are literally DECADES younger than her! She has ran many marathons since and averages about 80 miles a week in running.
At 78 years old, she is 5’5” at 130lbs and can bench 190lbs! What an inspiration! If she can do it, what is stopping us? Don't make the same excuses. We can always make time for what we truly want. We know what we shouldn't or should be doing, be aware! Let's make your goal a reality this time! We made the commitment, Now stick to it and do it! Imagine how good it will feel when you have reached the goal you WANT! Is it worth that donut or those fries?? Again! It is not about completely giving up foods that you love! Eat it in moderation! Have 1 cookie. NOT 10! If you can hold off on cookies until the competition is over, more power to you! One step at a time...LET’S GET/KEEP OUR BUTTS IN GEAR! Everyone is doing great so far!
Be aware of the body, be healthy, HAVE FUN! Enjoy life!
